Beauty in the Shadows celebrates the life lessons learned from overcoming the dark challenges of our past; and propels us to a brighter future.

Students from Franklin High School and Evergreen Campus High Schools Muslim Student Association team up to facilitate a workshop on topics affecting Muslim teen girls of color. Students will share with you the diverse aspects of Islam and ways adults can respect youths experiences, in particular young Muslim women of color. Through fun and interactive activities you will learn about our personal and collective experiences, appreciate the diversity within Islam, and learn about what adults in our community - YOU can do to support us.
